egg freezing consulting

I’ve spent the past decade researching and reporting on fertility and reproductive technologies. I also wrote a book about egg freezing (forthcoming from Random House, July 2024). Over the years, dozens of people have gotten in touch to ask me questions about freezing eggs and talk with me about their particular reasons for considering fertility preservation. So I now offer egg freezing consulting.

This typically entails one or a few phone calls, 30-60 minutes each. We cover a lot of ground: I share knowledge and expertise, you tell me why you’re considering egg freezing, we go over all of your questions.

I love these conversations. I’m pretty passionate about bridging the gap between what people with ovaries don’t know about fertility and what egg freezing can and cannot do for them.

When folks come to me with their specific egg- and ovary-related situations and questions, I go between wearing a "journalist” hat and a “personal” hat. I’m not a doctor and don’t give medical advice, but, actually, that’s what people often find most helpful when they’re talking with me about egg freezing — I have an objective perspective as a science reporter and personal empathy as a thirty-something woman who wrote an entire book about deciding what to do with her eggs.
